South Africa is a beautiful place to visit wherever you are from. All throughout the year tourists from all over the world head to the Western Cape for their holiday of a lifetime, traveling from as far afield as India, Europe, and the United States.

South African tourism has a lot to offer, such as diving with sharks, searching for the safari “big five”, or simply enjoying the spectacular landscape. While you are planning your trip and searching for the best things to do, you should definitely include skydiving on your list.

Why Skydiving?

Jumping out of an aeroplane is something everyone should try at least once in their life, and skydiving in South Africa is a great place to experience the unrivaled thrill of freefall. If you are visiting Cape Town or anywhere on the Western Cape, the best views can be found from 14,000 feet in the air on a tandem skydive at Skydive Mossel Bay. Skydiving truly is a life-changing experience and Skydive Mossel Bay is among the best places in the world to do it.

Skydive Mossel Bay

The town of Mossel Bay sits on the coast a little ways down the famous Garden Route in between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth – within a day trip from the city – and is a part of the country everyone should visit when travelling to South Africa as it contains many of the best places to visit while you are here.

There might be other places to skydive, but Skydive Mossel bay should be your first and only choice.

Here are a few reasons why…

We have a big plane!

Unlike other places in South Africa that have very small aircraft, Skydive Mossel bay has a twin-engined ‘King Air’ – able to carry fourteen people to altitude quickly and in comfort. This means when you visit as a group there is a good chance you will get to ride in the plane together.

We have the best view!

Mossel Bay is right by the ocean and you get one of the world’s most spectacular views in freefall with us. You might even get to see dolphins or whales out in the bay.

We have professional camera flyers.

Skydive Mossel bay is a big enough operation that we can have on staff extra jumpers to take professional photos and video of your jump that you will treasure for a lifetime.

We have great facilities.

Along with a big hangar and a quick plane, there is a cafe on-site to keep you refreshed.

You can land on the beach!

Whenever we choose we can go jump directly over and land on nearby Diaz Beach. An even more awesome experience to end one of the best things ever.

The weather!

South Africa’s Western Cape has some of the sunniest weather in the world, allowing us to jump year-round.

Our great record.

We are the busiest skydiving operation in South Africa and our numbers speak for themselves. We are particularly proud of our capability to welcome big groups touring the country. We have a wealth of experience with tourist groups and love hosting visitors from India, the UK, Germany, France, the United States, and all other countries!

So there you have it. While there are many great things to do while visiting South Africa, skydiving at Skydive Mossel Bay should be at the very top of your list.
