South Africa’s Garden Route is one of the most scenic and beautiful places on earth, and to take a day trip from Cape Town down the coast is unmissable. Heading East out of the city, the journey passes through the lush and varied landscape of the Western Cape, and around four hours of driving takes you to the coastal town of Mossel Bay. Then, what better way to soak up the amazing scenery than by joining us at Skydive Mossel bay to jump from an aeroplane over some of the most spectacular visuals available anywhere in the world.

You can easily complete the journey to jump with us as a day trip from Cape Town, but there is so much to see along the Garden Route that you may well want to turn it into an overnight stay or long weekend adventure. In Mossel Bay itself, there is a lot to do. Skydiving with us should be considered unmissable and the highest thing on your list, but here you can also visit a game reserve or hike or spend time in the ocean or eat at one of the many excellent restaurants. The possibilities are many! There are also many fantastic hotels and guest houses in the area to help easily turn your day trip into a fantastic overnight or weekend stay.

Skydive Mossel Bay Is A Destination Unlike Any Other

Here at Skydive Mossel Bay, we have a lot to offer. We are proud to say that we have the staff, aircraft, facilities, scenery, and weather to be counted amongst the best dropzones in the world to experience jumping from an aeroplane. Whether you live in Cape Town or are visiting from near or far, we are your best choice for a skydiving road trip for many reasons. We are open every day and have a Beechcraft King Air – a large comfortable aircraft capable of carrying more people to altitude in greater comfort than anywhere else in the country. We also go higher – offering 14’000ft – which gives you a full minute of freefall time to soak up the thrill of terminal velocity.

Our highly trained team is able to offer a ‘third eye’ or ‘outside’ camera, meaning a dedicated camera flyer can jump with you to capture a far superior perspective of your bucket-list experience. Our aircraft capacity also allows us to specialise in large groups – so bring everybody! We regularly jump onto nearby Diaz Beach – and what better way to end your jump than by touching down on the sand next to the ocean? All you have to do is let us know you are interested and we can make it happen.

How to Plan Skydiving Into Your Road Trip

Tandem skydiving is an efficient process, and when you book, we will give you a specific arrival time that will allow you to make the most of your road trip from Cape Town, along the Garden Route, and to Mossel Bay. With a set time, you’ll be able to plan your road trip from Cape Town and add other sight-seeing opportunities to your itinerary. You don’t need to do anything special to get ready other than remember to bring some sensible shoes that lace uptight. You will be given all the information you need to go jump once you arrive. First, a short group briefing containing everything you’ll require, then you get geared up with your instructor, and then you’re ready to go!

Even better, you can learn to skydive with us! We don’t only want people to experience their first jump here. We would like it if as many people as possible went on to become skydivers themselves! We are able to offer both the Accelerated Freefall Program (AFF) and the Static Line Program – presenting a great deal of flexibility with how to get involved in this amazing sport.
